Con intensidad , sin tregua, pero con movimientos muy cuidadosos se continuó
con las excavaciones en el túmulo de Anfípolis para remover el suelo en la
tercera cámara y hacer las restauraciones necesarias.
Se trabaja en encordado/cableado y apuntalamiento con estructuras
tubulares para evitar el colapso de la 3 era cámara y proveer seguridad a las
personas que trabajan en el espacio.
El siguiente paso de Peristeri es alcanzar y liberar la puerta que ha
sido localizada en la profundidad de la cámara 3 , a un costado , es decir que no esta en el centro de la pared
como en el caso de las otras cámaras .
El trabajo avanza
rápidamente y de acuerdo con el calendario de la Sra. Peristeri , los arqueólogos
podrían franquear esta 4ta puerta en esta semana .
Hasta entonces se trabaja en la
sala 3 para quitar la suciedad e introducir los apoyos necesarios.
La tercera cámara es la "cámara de Red"
Los arqueólogos han etiquetado a la Tercera Cámara como el
"Pabellón rojo" por el color que presenta el mármol de las paredes .
Aunque hasta ahora esta cámara no
ha dado ningún otro hallazgo a los arqueólogos más que un espacio relleno de tierra( como las
otras dos ) y una puerta de 0,96 cm ,
que no se sabe adónde lleva .
La profundidad de la tercera cámara sigue siendo insondable y los geólogos están tratando de calcularla usando un taladro de mano que les permite cavar a través de los volúmenes de relleno de arena. El rango del instrumento que están usando es de 7 metros y sin embargo la profundidad puede ser mucho mayor .
“El monumento es mucho más grande de lo que nos imaginamos”
El domingo, académicos e ingenieros dijeron que posiblemente la tumba sea mucho más grande de lo que uno
pueda imaginar y que es muy factible que se extienda más allá de los sitios que
han sido explorados hasta ahora.
"Todavía tenemos mucho que ver . creo que lo que hemos visto hasta
ahora no es nada . Debe haber algo más que solo algunas habitaciones , muchos mas
recintos en el camino hacia el centro de la Tumba " ,dijo uno de los
expertos .
Mencionaron el caso de en una tumba en Pella con siete cámaras : "…..Tumba que tiene un corredor con espacios laterales y que conduce a un ámbito principal con otras siete cámaras , tres a cada lado y una en la parte frontal. “
Actualmente se batalla contra el frío, la lluvia y el barro durante los
trabajos .
Al mismo tiempo que los arqueólogos excavan y se van adentrando en la
antigua tumba , los obreros trabajan en el drenaje de agua pluvial alrededor y
por encima de la tumba.Una lucha diaria en condiciones muy adversas . Sin
embargo todo se va superando ya que la mayoría de las personas que trabajan en el
proyecto son muy experimentadas y ya habían estado en las excavaciones de
Vergina ( por ejemplo) .
Quedamos a la espera de novedades de los progresos, pero como dijo K.
Peristeri “ en aproximadamente un mes podríamos terminar “ .

Una puerta de mármol rota, una bisagra y clavos (bronce y hierro) fueron encontrados hoy
dentro de la tercera cámara de la tumba .Esta
puerta puede conducir a una escalera o rampa que probablemente comienza
después de la apertura de puerta y conduzca a un corredor .

A broken marble door, a hinge and nails (bronze and iron) were found today inside the 3rd chamber of the Tomb.
This hollow can lead to a stairway or ramp that probably
starts after door opening and could lead to a corridor.
