Hoy todo es
cavar en el interior de la tumba buscando en los sótanos la Cámara Principal .
Con intensidad sin tregua pero con movimientos muy
cautelosos continúan trabajando en la excavación dentro de la tumba de Anfípolis
para intentar descubrir los secretos que están bien ocultos .
Los
trabajadores sacan de las entrañas del Túmulo innumerables cantidades de arena.
El trabajo se centra actualmente en la tercera
sala , después de haber colocado muchos andamios y columnas especiales para trabajar
de forma segura y proteger el monumento.

Se decidió continuar con el trabajo de extracción de
arena de la tercera. sala ,para lo que literalmente utilizan cucharillas .
Están trabajando 2 personas por vez tratando de
llegar tan profundo como sea posible.
Actualmente están a 3,60 metros mientras que las
mediciones muestran que la profundidad puede llegar a 7,5 metros.
Las exigentes tareas se realizan con especial
cuidado.
Es indicativo de que los obreros utilizen para retirar la arena de la
sala tercera “cucharillas“
Esto ha llevado indudablemente a frenar la excavación y ralentizar el
trabajo.
Además en
esta etapa los arqueólogos se encuentran con objetos difíciles de identificar ,
inmersos en las toneladas de arena extraída ( ¿ proveniente del río Strymonas? ) que han colocado los antiguos. constructores .
Este sistema de vestíbulos rellenos de arena parece ser de influencia egipcia . Ya hemos dicho que la Tumba es de origen macedónico fechada en el último cuarto del siglo IV a.c. .
Entre las hipótesis mas probables figuran dos :
- Una serie de vestibulos en serie hasta la Cámara Principal ubicada en el centro del Túmulo.
- Un corredor que conduzca a una Sala Central con acceso a una Cámara Principal en sentido Norte y otras Cámaras laterales .
Este sistema de vestíbulos rellenos de arena parece ser de influencia egipcia . Ya hemos dicho que la Tumba es de origen macedónico fechada en el último cuarto del siglo IV a.c. .

The work currently focuses on the third room, after

monument.
It was decided to continue with the work of sand
extraction in the third room, by
literally using little spoons.
2 persons are working by time , trying to get as
deep as possible
They are currently 3.60 meters while the
measurements show that the depth can reach 7.5 meters.
